Project notes

The AIIM Building and Bridge Link at the University of Wollongong Innovative Campus form the centrepiece of a collection of research buildings. The building houses some of the country’s most powerful microscopes, highly sensitive to electromagnetic interference. Tony detailed both the Interior and Exterior in response, Pacific Teak and Spotted Gum hardwood cladding together with Hoop Pine plywood for ceilings and bridge links. Special attention was paid to lighting which sets the stage for a simple Palette of materials. Generally the design is a simple solution to a complex design problem.
